Policies

The relationship with our clients is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect.

As a condition of working with us at Well Kneaded Massage Therapy, all clients agree to the policies below. If you don't support any of the policies, please refrain from scheduling an appointment. Thank you!

Cancellation Policy

As a practitioner, 100% of my income comes from my valued clients (that's you!).

When you cancel on short notice, my livelihood is jeopardized. You're also taking an appointment away from someone else who could benefit from my care.

We have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, for any reason, the card on file will be charged for the full treatment cost. If you’re 30 minutes late for massage or 15 minutes late for Spinal Flow, your appointment will be cancelled.

No, really, ANY REASON: Illness, injury, emergency, alien abduction...

The lone exception: If you fill your spot, we waive the fee.

Think of your personalized treatment like a concert ticket. If you can’t make it, you either send a friend in your place or absorb the cost.

It's not a punishment; it's protection of my most valuable resource—my time.

Appointment Times

Please note that the time you have booked is the length of your entire appointment, not the hands-on time.

At your first visit, we conduct a thorough intake where we cover your health history and your goals. You are provided a detailed description of your session so there are never any surprises during your treatment. We always obtain your consent. Orthopedic assessments may be required to provide a safe and effective treatment.

Refusal of Service

For safety purposes, staff reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time. Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • intoxication

  • derogatory or bigoted comments

  • sexual or romantic advances

  • illness or infectious conditions

  • contagious or unidentified skin conditions (ex. rashes, warts, mysterious bug bites)

  • Pain inhibitors- they dull your sensations and legally we're not able to work on you

  • If you develop a skin condition, please clear it with your doctor before receiving massage. If you exhibit any of the aforementioned conditions or behaviours, you'll be denied treatment and charged for the appointment.

Thank you for keeping all of us practitioners safe.
